Collaborating with a diverse team of transportation and aeronautical experts, this study was commissioned by the regional government, the Generalitat de Cataluña, for the expansion of the Barcelona airport. A full, comprehensive planning of terminal and platforms spaces calls for a fully new facade solution with large boarding areas of various bridges and boarding walkways along a new 800 meter-long facade for a total of 65.000 m″. The project was carried out by architect Ricardo Boffil.
